There is no student data in CharterBoards.

CharterBoards holds board records: agendas, minutes, board packets, policies, and the names and bios of board members. It never asks for student information. Here are the plain facts your board chair or IT lead will want.

Student dataNone. CharterBoards has no place for student records, and we ask you not to upload documents that contain them.
Where data livesOn servers in the United States, run by DigitalOcean. Uploaded files are stored in DigitalOcean's Atlanta data center.
In transitEvery page and file is served over HTTPS. Files are shared through links that expire.
BackupsThe database is backed up every day, to storage separate from the main server.
Who can see whatBoard members and staff sign in with their own accounts. Only people your school invites can edit. Agendas and minutes become public only when you publish them.
Public or privateBoards that meet in public get a public board page. Boards that don't can turn it off.
