Finance Session

CFO Report



• Budget was approved on August 16, 2018. Motion by Ms. Henderson and second by Mr. Tate.  There will be two public hearing on August 28, 2018 and September 4, 2018.
• Ms. Sharp provided an update on the FY 19 proposed budget and a reporting of the monthly financials
• Critical priorities were identified: Early Education and Intervention, Bond Debt Reduction and Teacher Quality and Professional Learning
• An accounting of the percentage of revenue was provided which QBE shows 80% of the budget
• An expense breakdown was provided showing instruction was 37% of the expenses

Head of Schools Report

• Enrollment Update
• Dr. Nichols provided an update for enrollment count 512 scholars. There is an enrollment plan to target 532 scholars.

• Academics
• A summary and itemized information sheet for the Charter Performance Framework was providing to the board
• The school has completed STAR testing and results/interventions/strategies were provided to the board

• Network Highlights
• An overview for assessment matching for both schools was signed off and Microsoft will be providing 60 licenses and two devices for the school’s use..
• The Atlanta Dream provided 175 tickets to scholars with appropriate spirit wear and Teacher Leader applications will take place Friday, August 24, 2018

Governance Session

Board Membership

The Governing Board will be looking for new memberships. Applications for the new members are being accepted and the candidates will schedule a meeting with Dr. Nichols for a school visit

FY18-19 Goals

Goals will be focused on policies and fundraising for the board

Board Training

Ms. Falco will provide dates for board training for the 2018-2019 year
