Welcome and Call to Order
Kanethia Henderson (board secretary) called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
Finance Session
Chief Financial Officer reported on the status of the school’s financials
Finance Committee discussed the property and utilizing a realtor for the other two parcels. A meeting will be scheduled with a possible candidate for Monday, July 15th, 2019.
Academic Sessions
The school leader reports on the status of the school.
Dr. Nichols provided data for summer retest scores of the 3rd, 5th and 8th grade students. The data is embargoed by the state and will be released by July 26th. Preliminary data was provided via google docs for board members.
Dr. Nichols presented the new Brand Options by Truth in Advertising. Option 1 is the recommendation for the informal logo and Option 4 is the recommendation for the formal logo.
Mr. Nelson, had questions and possible concerns with the design of the logo. He questioned the reasoning for the rebranding and recommended a discuss with a LEADright representative.
Governance Session
Communication Protocol, voting for the upcoming meeting and transition of Board Chair were discussed.
