Executive Directors Report
Dr. Charcia Nichols presented her ED Report
Discussed positions for the next year….data driven decision to bring in a reading specialist. Students are behind.
This person will help with reading strategies and teaching students.
School Improvement grant for literacy in 10K…will be used to train teachers in Letters, phonics program used in Fulton County
Two deans of discipline….paras…focusing on restorative practices
Possibly: Increase science depending on numbers from Clayton and Fulton
Discussed corrective action plan items from the monitoring visits and the actions to correct areas of findings
Discussed GADOE Monitoring findings
Faculty attendance update- zero and 1 day absence over 6 weeks incentives appear to be working as proven by data
Student attendance has improved over the course of two years in all grades except 3,4,5, 6th grades.
Reviewed iReady growth data.
Now have a sub in first grade after losing a teacher
