Approval of Agenda

So that there is agreement between board members on the agenda, and the amount of time spent on the meeting, the board shall vote to approve an agenda for the meeting. To the best of its ability, it will follow that agenda, and allow for the chair to move the board through the agenda as specified.

Playground Work Day Update

New mulch installation by volunteers complete and went well.

Media Center

• Furniture move--discussed idea of relocating current media center books and supplies to new location as volunteer activity for Governing Board and committee volunteers. Potential late afternoon or weekend activity. Timing will be mid-summer once new media center ready to be occupied. Dean to get information from Jennifer.

• Low voltage--discussed door access and alarm system. Investigate and develop recommendations for expanding alarm system to media center (Saip). Video surveillance and access control expansion to center also being researched (Jacob).

• Landscaping on south and west sides--trees (bald cypress and sweet bay magnolia) and grass requested being installed as requested, as well as rain garden. Discussed potential for row of foundation bushes along building. (Steve to get quote for additional landscaping along west side of the building.) Discussed need for gator bags on tree plantings and potential volunteers or service to check/refill bags weekly during summer, or driest weeks of summer.
