Chair Cassidy called the meeting to order.
Dr. Kelbaugh presented data from The Museum School's 2022-23 lottery. Overall, TMS received 806 applications for enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year. Of those, 255 were kindergarten applications. For the 2022-2023 school year, TMS has 60 kindergarten spots available. Of the 60 available spots, 28 were filled by siblings or students of staff/board members who receive preference. That leaves 32 spots available. To meet the 4% annual increase of socio-economically disadvantaged students as outlined in TMS' charter with DCSD, TMS would need to have 38 slots to fill.
Chair Cassidy led a preliminary discussion related to future DEI goals. The Committee also discussed opportunities with student recruitment under a districtwide attendance zone.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:49 pm
