The meeting will be called to order.
Discussion of Governance Committee objectives
Governance Committee Chair Richard Piercy led a discussion of efforts related to board and committee recruitment. This includes making substantial updates to the school website and candidate interest form along with potential changes to board candidate qualifications, etc. Piercy said it was important to provide more details and context surrounding the process for joining the board, qualifications, terms, etc.
General discussion
Executive director Kelbaugh discussed the current effort to recruit an EDI consultant to provide professional learning opportunities for staff. Kelbaugh also provided an update on open house and student recruitment efforts given pandemic-related challenges. She also spoke promising of an opportunity with the Alliance Theater to provide summer scholarships for students who may be in need of financial support.
