The meeting will be called to the order.
Executive Director Kelbaugh discussed school efforts to ensure TMS families have the support they need for remote learning, with particular focus on families who may need additional assistance. Kelbaugh reported that a survey on Internet access indicated about a dozen families needed help and staff were working to acquire mobile hotspots that would be made available. Kelbaugh reported that a group of donors indicated they would like to help sponsor children who need access to Connect but so far there had been few families expressing interest in the program. Kelbaugh also reported that TMS staff had mobilized to provide meals for families and noted that the number of families qualifying for free and reduced lunch had increased from about 25% to about 30% of the student body. Kelbaugh indicated that the number of meal pickups had been relatively low and planned to look into this to make sure there were no barriers to participation. Chair suggested the Diversity Committee could mobilize volunteers to deliver meals if that was identified as an issue.
Committee members reviewed the webpage template and offered suggestions. The Committee agreed with Board Vice Chair Ivy's suggestion the webpage include sociodemographic data. There was also discussion of adding details of the school's EDI goals along with more information about the lottery.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 3:37 pm
