Board Chair Kellie Swinks called the meeting to order. The purpose of the meeting is to determine a lottery weight for the upcoming enrollment lottery.

Principal Mike Stewart to give detailed information on our current and historical lottery weights. The purpose of the meeting was the formally approve a lottery weight for the upcoming TMS enrollment lottery.

For the past few years, we have had a lottery weight of 10. We explored increasing the lottery weight and the effect it would have on the student population as well as whether is was actually possible, given the constraints on the number of new enrollments each year.

Board Chair Update 10 minutes

Board Chair Kelly Swinks invited questions and comments from the Board Members. The board engaged in a lengthy discussion around the benefits and challenges of changing the current lottery weight from 10 to 20.
