So that there is agreement between board members on the agenda, and the amount of time spent on the meeting, the board shall vote to approve an agenda for the meeting. To the best of its ability, it will follow that agenda, and allow for the chair to move the board through the agenda as specified.

Welcome and Call to Order

The meeting will be called to the order at 6:48. pm by Chairman Pardes Suliaman.

FY23 Budget Discussion

The budget is based on 107 students at $2.8 million total revenue. 2 million is coming from QBE funding due to our enrollment and $803,000 is coming from Grants and other special revenue. Total expenses of 2.5 million. We will end with about $800 profit. This is a very tight budget but if we stick to our plans we will be OK.

@Charles Jones I know we had some HVAC expenses. How does that cost factor fit into the the budget? @Pardes Sulaiman those expenses are currently coming out of the ESSER III grant. There was an issue with cash flow but that was due to the amount in the bank when invoices became due in coordination to when the grant expenses drawdowns were done.

@Mamie Grimes The amount that is listed for Paraprofessionals is for a year? @Dr. Davis, those are yearly salaries for Para positions for a full year. They are factored into the Operations Budget in the overall salary amount. We should find ourselves saving in this area because our Nurse and some other teachers resigned their positions and so the cost to replace them most likely will not be as much as their specific salaries were.
