So that there is agreement between board members on the agenda, and the amount of time spent on the meeting, the board shall vote to approve an agenda for the meeting. To the best of its ability, it will follow that agenda, and allow for the chair to move the board through the agenda as specified.

Our Public Comment period is for members of the public to address the board. Each member of the public may sign up to comment at the meeting, and will be allotted two minutes. The board will listen, but may not directly respond to any comments. Our meetings are open to the public and a matter of public record. As such, if your comment is about a private matter, please contact the board via email, or speak to the board chair privately.

  1. Student Handbook update to include State Mandated reporting of inappropriate behavior by teachers and other school personnel. O.C.G.A. § 20-2-751.7
  2. Infectious Disease Policy. SBOE SBOE rule 160-1-3-03
  3. 2 Mandated 2 public Meetings prior to the approval of the school budget O.C.G.A. § 20-2-167.1
  4. School Financial Policy and Procedures consistent with Georgia Local Units of Administration Manual (LUA Manual)
  5. Financial Polices to address the approval of travel and other staff members

ADVERSE PRATICES

  1. Posting of the telephone number for reporting of chid abuse and or neglect
  2. Child Abuse Mandatory Training to school volunteers

Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act - Payroll Protection Act 5 minutes

Last week, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide relief from many of the hardships created by the coronavirus and President Trump signed the bill into law Friday night.  The CARES Act provides through the legislation the Payroll Protection Act a forgivable SBA loan.


Based on the uncertainty created by the crisis on: go-forward public funding, enrollment, philanthropic projections, need for additional expenses associated with remote learning, etc."

Actions:

  1. Give Academica the ability to apply for the CARES Act - Payroll Protection Application for SLAM Academy of Atlanta.
