Welcome and Call to Order

The meeting will be called to the order at 7:07 pm.

Approval of Agenda

So that there is agreement between board members on the agenda, and the amount of time spent on the meeting, the board shall vote to approve an agenda for the meeting. To the best of its ability, it will follow that agenda, and allow for the chair to move the board through the agenda as specified.

Motion made to amend the agenda to add an executive session after the approval of the financials to discuss a personnel issue.

School Leader Report

The school leader reports on the status of the school.

  • RHCS K-4th Wall Card Day was held at the end of September
  • RHMA Homecoming new tradition! Phoenix Fire football team took the win and then we celebrated with our homecoming events!
  • Upcoming Events- Scholastic Book Fair, Storybook Character Day, Fall Festival


Construction Update

  • Roof replacement completed- ongoing plumbing modification
  • Investigating room expansion due to unforeseen programming need
  • Investigating gym phase II - retractable bleachers
  • Investing land leveling to expand playground area
  • The elevator is complete and functioning

Resurgence Hall Charter School: Review academic dashboard, which includes schoolwide enrollment, attendance averages, demographic data, RHCS entry year, attrition rate and reason for both students and staff, school climate indicators, parent engagement indicators, and staff engagement indicators. Enrollment FY24.


Resurgence Hall Middle Academy: Review academic dashboard, which includes schoolwide enrollment, attendance averages, demographic data, RHMA entry year, attrition rate and reason for both students and staff, school climate indicators, parent engagement indicators, and staff engagement indicators. Enrollment FY24.


Fall NWEA MAP Results

  • K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th- Math and Reading Above 50% mark for students being distinguished or proficient
  • 4th- Math Majority of scholars in developing
  • Increase in performance in comparison to last year except for 1st grade reading and 4th grade math and reading
  • 4th grade scholars started with departmentalized instruction when they were in Kindergarten which we do not do anymore.
  • There is 1 lead teacher who teaches all content areas. The manager of CI who leads K-4 is also the lead for 4th grade
  • whereas K-3rd has a coordinator of CI. Next year, we may request a CI coordinator for 4th grade.


Enrollment

  • 30% of the population is made up of siblings
  • FRL data will be confirmed for the November board meeting
  • Applications 24-25 school year
  • Would like to pull where applicants come from

Finance

Resurgence Hall Charter School: Presentation includes monthly financial presentation, balance sheet, budget vs. actuals, cash flow, income statement, YTD credit card register, financial workbook, September financials, September bank reconciliations and registers which includes all banking accounts, credit cards, and checks. Review of FY24 Balance Sheet.


  • $433K Increase to projected operating income vs budget
  • Enrollment increased from 402 to 414
  • Reduced depreciation expense based on construction completion date
  • 4.5M Ending September cash balance
  • SCSC 95/100 financial performance points - grew as a result from enrollment
