  • SCSC Governance Training February 7th-8th in Athens, April 12th-13th in Atlanta
  • Fundraising- FY23 Goal- 100k, 2 channels include corporations and local businesses
  • Next steps- recruitment of committee members, identification of 2 candidates so far, ask of board members is to send 2 nominations to Nelmaris by 2/1

  • Procedures for Requesting SSN notice: At the time of initial enrollment or at the beginning of a school year for a student who has already enrolled but who has not provided a Social Security Number (“SSN”), RH will request that the student provide the student’s SSN, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 20-2-150. RH uses SSNs to ensure accurate enrollment information, to help prevent fraudulent student attendance reporting, and to maintain official school records for students. No student shall be denied enrollment at RH for declining to provide a Social Security number or for declining to apply for such number. If you decline to provide a Social Security number for your child, you must fill out a Statement of Objection to Use of Social Security Number for Student Identification form, available on our website. Please note that individuals who do not provide an SSN will not be eligible for the Georgia Hope Scholarship funds.

Discussion and Vote RE: Financial Policy Update - LUA section IV-31-3

Per SCSC, The school's financial procedures do not appear to contain the elements suggested by LUA manual Section IV-31-3 (page 1). The school is encouraged to revise its procedures to accord with LUA Manual recommendations by including a debt provision.
