Roberta Walker is a retired educator who has worked in the DeKalb County School District for 40 years. She began her teaching career in 1976 at Fairington Elementary. She is a graduate of Morris Brown College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a graduate of Georgia State University with a Master of Education degree. Post graduate studies were completed at Clark Atlanta University earning certification in educational leadership and curriculum development. Mrs. Walker held several positions while employed by the DCSD such as classroom teacher, Lead Teacher for Student Services, assistant principal and principal. She ended her career after serving eighteen years as principal of Rowland Elementary School.
