Meeting was called to order and quorum ascertained at 9:17 a.m.

Approve Agenda

There was no notable discussion on the motion.

Board Actions

There were no board actions presented for approval. However, the Development discussed Morning Duty Arrangements, Fundraising Inititatives, Partnerships and Events.


Ms. Young requested an analysis of other staff who might be interested in a modified schedule to assist with morning duty and potentially allow the staff member to leave earlier in the afternoon, and Mr. Brown agreed to investigate this possibility.


The committee reviewed current fundraising initiatives, including Beta Club's activities and plans to re-implement the 99 pledges campaign with a QR code.Ms. Young committed to developing a new list of fundraising ideas for the next meeting, and Ms. Rodgers offered to explore potential grants.


The committee focused on reviewing current partnerships and upcoming events. Ms. Rodgers and Mr. Brown discussed ongoing partnerships with Kennesaw, Momentum City Church, Freedom to Choose Schools, and various businesses like Donato's. Principal Brown will be honored by Freedom to Choose Schools on October 23rd, and the Freedom to Choose Schools will host a staff lunch on October 2nd. The committee also noted upcoming events including the Dekalb County Employee of the Year ceremony on November 18th and a Dekalb Chamber of Commerce lunch. Mr. Dennis reported that they are currently interviewing candidates for a nurse position, with some interviews scheduled for the following day.
