The meeting will be called to the order, by Roberta Walker at 1:00 p.m.

Data Dash Board Update

Otus Data Management System - Mrs. Strickland has been in communication with Otus company. She has asked that Delmar upload the students name into the system, which he assures will be done by the end of the day Friday. Mrs. Grant has uploaded the MAP and by weekly tests data. Once these tasks are complete we will be able to create the dashboard as an XL document. The Otus system will be able to import data from Infinite Campus once the students' info is uploaded. Board members will be given login access to the dashboard.

Dr. Brown was not able to work with us on the dashboard that the board had looked at. Since we will be able to access info through the Otus system we will not use the previously commissioned dashboard.

Other Academic Concerns

There is an increased awareness that our school must address the social emotional needs of our students. Discipline issues are on the rise, many students are being referred to the principal and assistant principal because these students are stopping the teacher from being able to teach. Some suggestions were given during the meeting such: collect data points, what kinds of problems are the teachers referring. Ensure that the teachers have followed the school wide Progressive discipline plan with fidelity. We will search for a mental health service that may be interested in becoming a partner.

We need a counselor added to the staff; 1 for middle school and 1 for elementary.

We may need to consider adding a Dean of Students position. That person will be in charge of student discipline. If not Dean of Students then perhaps add an In-school suspension position. This discussion will continue at our next meeting.

Textbooks will be on display in March for consideration for adoption. Social Studies K-8 and Reading for 6th - 8th.
