Welcome and Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 by Roberta Walker.

HOS/ Principal's Report

Enrollment - 475 students


Special Education - Solomon - 44 students are presently being served. 41 IEP meetings have been completed and all IEP's are up-to-date. Child Find is being utilized to identify students as they enroll at DPA to determine if they are in special ed program. 8th graders have had their transition plans. 22 speech students served. Progress monitoring is ongoing.


MTSS - West - 75 students in the MTSS process. 12 of them are recommended for evaluation for special ed. Progress monitoring still challenging, especially for grades 4, 5, and 7.We are woking with those teachers.


Other Business - Bostic - Annual meeting is scheduled for 3/3/2026.

Corrective Action Plan. We discussed Staff Retention which will be sheared with DCSD. The Cognia Review- we are accredited with updates and suggestions. They have requested that we use their observation tools when evaluating teachers so that we can earn more points toward accreditation.

Reality checks is scheduled for Thursday, 3/5.

A letter of concern was issued by DCSD. We discussed how DPA should respond.

2 state meetings are scheduled for TSI. Special ed teachers are being observed to determine where additional support is needed.

The Dashboard will be up and running by March. All administrators need to be trained.

Personnel - The committee approved the recommendation of D'Andre' Parks for 3rd grade math teacher.

We still need a 5th grade teacher and counselor

Coaches Corner

Testing- MAP March 16-27; GA Milestone begins April 20

Technology has been running great and we're ready for the testing sessions.

Professional Learning - coaches are attending a conference this week in Arizona.

Literacy and Math - we have 80 students who are attending the Bulldog Learning lounge regularly.
