Welcome and Call to Order
The meeting was called to the order at 10:05 a.m. by Roberta Walker.
HOS/ Principals' Report
Enrollment - 496 students. FTE funding of 510 students
HR - the 5th grade position and counselor positions are still open
Special Education -44 students currently being served. 21 IEP meetings have been held this semester. Teacher caseloads have been updated. Transition meetings for 8th graders are scheduled. Progress reports for all PEC students have been sent.
MTSS - 63 students are in the process. Progress monitoring ongoing with West uploading the documentation.
AVC
Other Academic Concerns - charter reauthorization is upcoming. New framework has come from the state. Intent to renew letter will be updated by DCSD in January. 2 companies to consider for writing are Cobalt and GCSA.
Carina @ $5,000. Tableau - @ $,5000, this is used by DCSD. Georgia Insight is free. Things to consider - who will be responsible for keeping the dashboard information up-to-date.
Coaches Corner
Testing - MAP begins Dec 9-18. Gifted testing in progress
Professional Development - CCV walk is scheduled for Nov. 18th. QRS Dec. 9th.
Kennesaw State partnership will include PD for our teachers. The student teachers, who are Jr. and Sr. level students will be with us during the next semester.
Cognia - we have completed the leadership portion
Literacy and Math - all students will need headphones for the upcoming test. The technology for students is being inventoried to ensure everything is working properly.
Bulldog Learning Lounge will be held Nov 18 - Dec 18th for this semester every Tuesday and Thursday. We will also have dates for next semester approved.
