The meeting was called to order at 10:06 a.m.
Human Resources Update The following candidates were presented and approved for hire:
Marian Bangura Elementary Teacher; U'Neque Brakes- Elementary teacher; M. Pamela Basye- Special Ed teacher; Clent Ingram- Middle School teacher; Chloe McCray - Elementary teacher; Kristin Gaither - paraprofessional; Anthony Brooks- Resource Officer
Budget - discussion of the subscriptions that the school will purchase. School will investigate the NWEA contract. We may be able to use the DeKalb subscription at no cost. We are looking into the purchase of the dyslexia screener that is now required by the state.
Special Education - All IEP's are up-to-date. Some students have been referred for testing by the DCSD speech department. Moving forward the progress monitoring will be populated for teachers by Solomon
MTSS -
Innovation Team - We are waiting for the response letter from the last visit.
Other Academic Concerns - Cell phone policy is being developed. We will implement the no cell phones or personal electronic devices usage policy at the beginning of the 25-26 school year.
Leadership retreat was very successful.
Testing Update - students have been retested and the results of students not passing is
3rd grade - 30 students
5th grade - 25 students
8th grade - 30 students
