Welcome and Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 10:07 a.m.
Coaches Corner
PLC's Updates - Guyton, West, Dent
MAP data trends and areas of intensive focus has been discussed with teachers. Principals and coaches have attended the DCSD MAP training sessions.
HOS/Principal's Report
Human Resources Update - Merritt, Brown, Owens
Hiring contracts have bee issued for 25-26 school year. Additional positions have been added to the budget - technology assistant, Middle school counselor and elementary AVC teacher.
Testing Update - Guyton, Johnson, Brown, Owens - stress test was conducted. Some issues reported. Tech team working to resolve those before May 1, 2025.
Enrollment - Brown, Owens
Special Education - Solomon - 42 students are being served. Progress monitoring is on-going. Big picture is updated. We are making sure that the testing accommodations for all students are in place.
MTSS - West - 63 students are in the MTSS process of Tier I and II. 8 of those students are being referred for comprehensive evaluation. Teachers are keeping up with the monitoring process.
2025-26 School Year calendar will be presented for board approval
Speech teacher contract will be presented for board approval
Other Academic Business
Dr. Merritt presented the academic subscriptions that are being asked for in the 25-26 budget. They include: Lenections, Gallepaed, IXL, Accelerated Reading, Qavar Music, Riverside EZ CBM, Nuzella, Zaner Bloser including the handwriting portion, School Mess, Iready reading and math, Gold Book, and additional technology materials and supplies.
