The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 1:30 p.m.
Teaching Personnel - Recommendations for hire were approved by the committee. They include: Denise Johnson - instructional coach; Rhomeika Murphy- Counselor; Jasmine Pittman - teacher; Shan Jones- nurse; Jarielle Gibson- teacher; Sanquisa Bradley- paraprofessional; Jada Jones- teacher. All candidates information to be forwarded to the Board via Dropbox by Thursday, June 20, 2024. We are still in need of 3 elementary and 3 middle school teachers.
Core subjects - Summer school is going well. Over 200 students signed up. Attendance has been over 100 daily. Staff has been adjusted accordingly. The theme is " Our Sustainable City." This theme will continue as the first PLB for the 24-25 school year.

Exceptional Ed - Dr. Solomon reported that all IEP meetings are up to date. During the June 17-18th leadership retreat Dr. Felton presented. The focus was on how to monitor special education teachers.
Other Academic concerns
Professional Learning - Professional Learning Communities are being formed to look at the instructional program and will function through out the year. Focus on Learning by Doing.
