Welcome and Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 10:00 a.m.
HOS/ Principal's Report
Data- MAP winter testing is complete. Analysis presented. Continue working on writing process.
Core Subjects- we still need computers to create a one-to-one student/computer. This greatly effects the testing environment.
MTSS/ Exceptional Ed - progress monitoring continues to be an issue. This is unacceptable for the school. Procedures will be put into place to make sure monitoring is done and info placed into infinite campus.
AVC/Technology - expecting computers purchased with Title I dollars. Need more computers. We will use ESER funds that are available. Action is needed by the board.
The school will start an Esports Club. 3 teachers have expressed interest in sponsoring the club. Funding is needed for materials and supplies and pay for the sponsors. Action is needed by the board.
Coaches Corner
ELA - 4th grade writing is being supported. Continuing to research "the science of reading" which focuses on reading fluency, phonics, and vocabulary development.
Math - MAP data being used to drive math instruction. MAP test will occur again before we give the Milestone.. Milestone testing begins April 17, 2024. March Madness is a school wide initiative to prepare for Milestones. Bulldog learning lounge continues to be well attended, ends March 27th.
Gifted - MAP data was reviewed for gifted students and ELLs.
Professional Learning - March 8 was professional development day. Teacher received sessions on Lennections
