Welcome and Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 10:00 a.m.

HOS/Principal's Report

Personnel - 1 opening for a 5th grade ELA teacher; 1 para opening which has been created by a student who needs one- on-one para.

Core Subjects-Presently we are considering changing the art teacher position to STEAM. It is very difficult to fill the art position. We are also looking at the band program. May add additional after school practice time.

Afterschool tutoring will begin in October.

PEC Department Updates - The MTSS progress monitoring issue has been addressed.

PBL/AVCT

Other Academic Concerns - our website is being overhauled by an outside company.

Coaches Corner

ELA - several program kick off; AR, Read-a-Thon, Common language rollout, Scripts

Math- Data indicates that our 5th graders are in need of more serious intervention. The math coach will co-teach with the 5th grade math teacher. IXL is up and running.

Gifted and Talented

Professional Learning - Goal Book App Training is being done

MAP Data - data will be presented at the board meeting.

Assessment update - PSAT readiness testing 10/11/23

MAP data will be presented at the board meeting. Show how DPA compares to the state and the district.
