Meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 1:00 p.m. Monica Brown attended the meeting via phone conference.
Monica Brown has been in contact with Dr. Jefferson of Mercer University and with representatives from STEAM Revolution. These agencies are interested in creating partnerships with our school to serve in various capacities. Some areas that may be served include Charter School Leadership from Mercer. We will in turn assist them with research and studies that our students may be a part of. STEAM Revolution has experts such as film makers and graphic designers who may assist our students with creating their PBL activities. Dr. Brown will begin the MOU letters so that this can be taken to the board for consideration.
The academic committee goals for 2018-2019 are:
All paperwork for this grant has been submitted. Our training will begin on August 16th. The D3 team will go for training every 3rd Thursday beginning on August 16th. All members of the team are expected to attend the training each month. If there are extenuating circumstances the HOS and/or principal must be notified ASAP.
