Welcome and Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 10:00 a.m.

HOS/ Principal's Report

Personnel - Teacher presented for hire are:

Timothy Brown - PEC; David Sawyer - 5th grade; Dylan Carey - 6th grade and Kintrell Burks - 7th grade

Recommended for hire as principals: Jameda Owens Elementary and Malcolm Brown Middle School.

Core Subjects - Title I funds have been reallocated for teachers, computers and materials and supplies. Other federal program funds are Title II for PL and Titlle IV for materials and supplies for PL. Looking in the pathway for certification for our teachers who need to complete certification.

PEC Department Updates - contracting with a firm to hire additional teachers. All PEC teachers must be highly qualified.

AVCT/PBL

Other Academic Concerns - A plan is being implemented to expand the Extra-curricular activities for students. The additional cost would be approximately $27,600. We can use ERRSA funds for this year.

Coaches Corner

ELA Accelerated Reader program and the MyOwn program are starting for students.

Math - MAP rostering is complete. Scheduling students for the PSAT. All errors in scheduling have been cleared.

Professional Learning - teachers have completed a survey and the PL needs are being addressed. We are contracting with the Griffin RESA
