Welcome and Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 1:05 p.m..
HOS and Principal's Report
Candidates for hire and rehire - 12 candidates were presented for vetting. See attached packets. These 12 candidates will be recommended for Board approval.
School Year Calendar - the changes will be for the Juneteenth holiday to be added to the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school year calendars.
Other Academic Concerns - We are still in need of 3 homeroom teachers and 4 paraprofessionals. We will ask the Board to allow the pre employment of candidates for the months of July and August so that the school can be fully staffed for the beginning of the school year. Candidates will be vetted by the academic chair and the committee.
Reading Recovery MOU with Georgia State University is ready to be presented to the Board. The room for the program is to be constructed in the media center, using one of the small rooms. The program will be financed using ERRSA funds.
