Welcome and call to order
The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 1:00 p.m.
Principal's Report
Core Subjects - Plans are in place for monitoring student progress. We have set our BHAG "big hairy audacious goal", for the year. 85% of the students in level 1 will move to level 2 by end of the school year. Next year we will move 45% of level 2 students to level 3. 85% students will be proficient by the end of the 22 - 23 school year.
Academic committee will recommend additional staff to support reading and math across all grade levels.
DCSC has requested 2 dates for walkthroughs. 2 dates will be given
PBL/AVC - The showcase for second semester will be in May
Special Education
Other Academic Concerns - COVID 19 PCR testing results are running behind.
EOTM will be presented at the January board meeting. In February we will add Parent of the month to this presentation.
Coaches Corner
ELA - textbooks and subscription renewals for 2022-23 - this year we will need to renew Gallipade, Success Marker, IXL, Accelerated Reader, and Superkids. The action forms will be prepared for the February meeting so that they can be submitted for the upcoming budget meeting.
Accelerated Reader celebrations were done in December for students accomplishing their goals.
Math - textbooks and subscription renewals for 2022-23
Math drill competitions ongoing to encourage students to learn their multiplication facts
DATA Analysis Ms. Robinson, AP, will present the data dashboard info to the board.
Professional Learning - teachers will receive PL on constructed response writing.
