Welcome and Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Roberta Walker at 1:00 p.m.
Review of online subscriptions
What do we have? Edmentum, USA Test Prep, Accelerated Reader, Renaissance Learning ( 3 programs) NWEA and IXL.
What do we need? We will continue all programs for 20-21. A review of USA Test Prep because some of the teacher reports are not running as expected.
Analysis of students making A's and B's on report card
How does the number measure up to performance on standardized tests? A report is being compiled so that we can further analyze the performance of our students and monitor the rigor of instruction.
Summer Programs
Kindercamp and Math Camp for 3rd through 8th graders
What do we need
Teachers - 10 $21, 000
Paraprofessionals - 3 $3,600.00
Resources - Summer Brigde for all kindergartners = $600
I Ready books - 180 books = $3,000.00
The programs will run for 2 weeks in June. The total cost is approximately $29,000
On-boarding for New Teachers
To begin a support mentoring program for teachers the principal will select 3 teachers, one from each grade band (k-2, 3-5, 6-8), to serve as teacher mentors. These mentors will be trained during the summer and will serve new teachers throughout the school year. The teachers mentors will be compensated for the summer training and will receive a stipend during the year not to exceed $1,000 for the year. We will inquire as to whether or not our mentors can be trained by DCSD or if we will have to pursue training from another agency.
Other Academic Concerns
We need to add a cart of MAC computers to our inventory.
