CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER, YVETTE JONES

APPROVAL of the 2021-2022 BUDGET, MERRITT LANE

CFO, Anne Chapman, led the discussion on the 2021-2022 Budget for Bricolage Academy

The Finance Committee has reviewed the budget for the year in-depth at their 8-23-21 Finance Committee Meeting so Ms.Chapman gave the highlights as follows:

  • Bricolage Academy is in over good health financially.
  • We expect to capitalize again on the State and Federal funding available to us for High-Cost Services, and other programs.
  • As of August 31st, we have 65 days of cash.
  • The budgeted expenses are high in Technology because Bricolage placed a large technology order prior to Hurricane IDA that caused the school to go to virtual learning again for a short period. That technology will be reimbursed under ERATE but not at 100%.
  • Bricolage will pull down and use the remaining ESSER II funds and 35% of ESSER III funds in the Fiscal Year 2021-2022.
  • Enrollment is strong with 905 students enrolled, with a fully built-out Prek-8th grade.
  • It is too soon to give feedback on if we will have to adjust the repairs and Maintenance budget because of Hurricane IDA.
  • Bricolage will continue to hire staff as needed to fill a few open positions in Admin.
