Y. Jones provided an update on the state of the school since the mandated school closure.
The first round of One App results are in. We received 1607 applications for our available seats. We are ranked number 3 for desirability among the schools in the One App.
The continuous learning plan at Bricolage for the extended school closure is going well.
Y. Jones commended Antigua and her team for their great efforts. You can follow the school's social media accounts and website for updates.
NOLA PS will put out an official press release by Friday (4/3) complying with the Governor's Proclamation to extend school closures through 4/30.
Bricolage was a food service provider for the first two weeks of school closure. The food service company decided to end services beginning 3/30 due to low participation numbers and limited food service staff. Bricolage put out a note to families on 3/29 to share the update as well as a current list of food service sites.
We will have an update of the financial picture moving forward at our next meeting.
A decrease in MFP is likely, possibly beginning next spring and lasting into the future. The impact is expected to last a minimum of two years.
Bricolage will experience layoffs in the After School Program. There is no incoming revenue from the program to sustain employment of the After School employees.
approve a resolution authorizing the administration at Bricolage Academy to borrow funds that are available through the SBA as part of the CARES Act.

Bricolage will apply for and, if accepted, borrow from an appropriate lending agency for funding up to $1,200,000 to cover costs related to payroll and other benefit costs, operations, and facilities expenses through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
