Preliminary 2021 Board Meeting Schedule, Yvette Jones

In the spirit of transparency and consistency, the proposed 2021 proposed meeting dates were presented and shared.

Report of the CEO, Troave' Profice

  • Enrollment Updates
  • School's enrollment is on-target with planned enrollment expectations.
  • 2021-22SY: Bricolage will offer PK-8th grade.
  • 2021-22SY: Bricolage will add 1 additional PK class/20 seats. Self-pay/Tuition-based seats
  • COVID-19 Updates
  • 8 positive cases since July 2020
  • 3 staff members
  • 5 students (2 students were virtual students)
  • 14-day quarantine period for all close contacts remains in place until 12/31/2020.
  • Student Support Services & Special Education
  • Oct. 1 Count: 137 students with exceptionalities (~18% of student population)
  • Program Audit: 11/6/2020 audit conducted by NOLA-PS. School actively working to address concerns and providing staff with training related to data collection and service delivery.

  • Finance Meeting Held 12/06/2020
  • Updates provided by the Bricolage Academy data manager
  • Financial packet reviewed:
  • Cash on hand: Meeting expectations (60 day mim. expectation)
  • Gross Margin: ~$65,000 net income deficit projected
  • Grants Tracker: actively monitoring
  • Financial Audit is ~90% complete
  • Engaging in loan forgiveness process for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)

Report of the Strategic Planning Committee, Norman Barnum

  • Committee met with all 3 potential consultants
  • Committee suggests moving forward with 2 phase approach
  • Phase 1 led by Michael Stone: SWAT analysis (internally and externally), market analysis, growth trends, high school growth need and research
  • Phase 2 led by K. Allen Consulting: communication of results, operationalizing results of phase 1.
